Creating a positive learning environment for dog guardians to

live happier lives with their dogs.

Pawsitive Living Dog Training is here to help!

I understand that every dog is unique and deserves personalized training techniques. I work one-on-one with the dog and guardian to address behavioral issues and teach skills for a 2-legged world.

More importantly, I help foster a strong relationship between the dog and guardian through positive reinforcement techniques, creating a happy and successful partnership for years to come.

How I Can Help

Cooperative Care

Vet visits and husbandry can be overwhelming for a lot of dogs. Through specialized techniques, I will teach your dog how to positively respond to common veterinary procedures such as vaccinations, nail trims, examinations, grooming, etc. No more wrestling matches or anxious panting – just a cooperative partnership between you, your dog, the veterinarian and groomer.

Families and Dogs

I am dedicated to providing you with the tools and knowledge needed to create a harmonious bond between your children and beloved canine companion. From basic manners training to specialized techniques for handling family-oriented challenges, I'll equip you with everything necessary to raise a happy, confident, and well-mannered pup.

Separation Anxiety

When dogs experience anxiety when their humans leave, it causes increased stress for the humans. Some behaviors that can manifest include destructive behaviors, barking, house soiling, etc. With separation distress training, I help rebuild the trust between dog and human so that everyone can feel more at ease.

Behavior Modification

If you're looking for a gentle and effective approach to behavior modification and

teaching your furry friend new tricks and manners; you've come to the right place. Positive reinforcement is all about rewarding good behavior and encouraging your dog to make the right choices. I will help you build a strong bond with your canine companion while achieving impressive results.

We started working with Kayla when our German Shepherd, Socs, was just 13 weeks old (born October 2024), and the experience has been exceptional from day one. Kayla is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and intentional in her approach. She not only understands dog behavior deeply, but she also knows how to clearly teach us as owners so we can reinforce training confidently at home. What sets Kayla apart is her calm, caring presence, and consistently positive attitude. She builds trust with both dog and family, which has made a huge difference in Socs’ development. Thanks to her guidance, Socs has grown into a well-mannered, confident young dog with a strong foundation. We are truly grateful for Kayla’s expertise and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who genuinely cares about long-term success.

Andrea and Socs

Kayla was great to work with! She was easy to coordinate training sessions with and was full of useful tips for how to get our young dog to make the behavior changes we were looking for. She was also great at helping us and our dog prepare for the upcoming change of becoming a big fur brother. We'd highly recommend working with her!
