Families and Dogs

Creating a harmonious family unit where everyone can be happy, safe and thriving.

Pawsitive Living Dog Training is here to help!

At Pawsitive Living, we understand the importance of creating a harmonious environment where dogs can coexist comfortably with babies and kids. Through the use of the Family Paws Program we have a comprehensive approach that focuses on building positive relationships between dogs and children, ensuring a safe and happy family dynamic.

Our training methods are rooted in patience, consistency, and compassion. Through structured exercises and personalized guidance, we teach dogs how to interact appropriately with babies and kids, promoting mutual respect and understanding.

During our training sessions, we address common challenges such as excessive barking, jumping up on children, or guarding behaviors. We provide practical techniques to help your dog overcome these obstacles, while also instilling confidence in both you and your furry friend while maintaining a safe environment for all.

Alongside teaching your dog vital skills for interacting with babies and kids, we also educate parents on how to supervise interactions and recognize signs of discomfort or anxiety in their pets. By fostering open communication between all family members – human or canine – we can prevent misunderstandings and promote a strong bond built on trust.

Join us today on this journey towards creating a harmonious family unit.

We started working with Kayla when our German Shepherd, Socs, was just 13 weeks old (born October 2024), and the experience has been exceptional from day one. Kayla is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and intentional in her approach. She not only understands dog behavior deeply, but she also knows how to clearly teach us as owners so we can reinforce training confidently at home. What sets Kayla apart is her calm, caring presence, and consistently positive attitude. She builds trust with both dog and family, which has made a huge difference in Socs’ development. Thanks to her guidance, Socs has grown into a well-mannered, confident young dog with a strong foundation. We are truly grateful for Kayla’s expertise and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who genuinely cares about long-term success.

Andrea and Socs

Kayla was great to work with! She was easy to coordinate training sessions with and was full of useful tips for how to get our young dog to make the behavior changes we were looking for. She was also great at helping us and our dog prepare for the upcoming change of becoming a big fur brother. We'd highly recommend working with her!
